Gill Griffiths - Artist

Gill is an avid hiker and oil painter who lives just outside the beautiful city of York. She walks a lot on the North Yorkshire Moors, the Yorkshire Wolds and in the Yorkshire Dales. She only started painting in 2018, but now her hiking and painting are inextricably linked. She paints atmospheric paintings from these walks, using bold brushwork and vibrant colours, to evoke the experience on canvas and capture the beauty and essence of the landscape.
